JERÔME BOIVIN (France)

He teaches at La Fémis and the École Louis-Lumière, and regularly leads international workshops. A rare but impactful filmmaker, he blends dark humor, introspection, and creative freedom. His independent and insightful cinema continues to inspire new generations of directors.  “Reality and fiction — where is the line between them?"

Back in Brussels, he began working as an assistant editor and started editing his own films through the AJC, a “no budget” film workshop. Nina 2

NINA LANGLET (France)

If she’s not in a dark cinema watching a classic, you’ll probably find her in a café, headphones on, browsing through the catalogues of festivals she couldn’t attend...After studying cinema with a focus on creative documentary, Nina Langlet has been working in the wide world of film, navigating between programming and supporting distribution of works that matter to her, especially short and medium-length films. She is currently a film programmer and coordinator of the regional editions of the International Education Film Festival of Évreux, Normandy, France. Most of her time is spent watching, selecting and discussing films. Deeply passionate about documentaries, she also organizes screenings with friends in her hometown of Amiens, often followed by discussions and Q&As. This is her first experience as a juror and above all, her first time at FaitoDoc, and she’s looking forward to sharing joyful moments around powerful films. "I still have my whole life (and all the movies) left to discover."

Charlotte

CHARLOTTE DEBEIR (Belgium)

I am a curious girl based in Brussels, who loves to learn new languages, go abroad and try new things. This probably comes from the fact that I am hyperactive, so now I run to compensate. When I was a kid I had great sense of style but now it’s all gone. On a more serious note, for as long as I can remember, I have always been intrigued about capturing moments and feelings through words and pictures. This fascination led me to study literature and linguistics, but my interest in movies and photography always stayed close to my heart. I’m very happy to be a part of the Faito Doc this year! "Surprise me!"

Elisa

ELISA BRUARD (Belgium)

Passionate about the seventh art since I was a kid, I have always been eager to learn more about the film industry. I studied at a communication school in Belgium, where I followed a bachelor's degree in public relations. This program allowed me to discover disciplines I wasn’t very familiar with, such as communication, event management, or audiovisual language. I therefore chose to pursue my final-year internship in a field that would combine my two passions : events and cinema. I got a five-month internship at the Namur International Francophone Film Festival (FIFF) as a programming assistant. This experience allowed me to prospect films for the upcoming edition. I also had the opportunity to attend the Cannes Film Festival thanks to this job and to work on the 11th and 14th Magritte Awards ceremonies in Brussels. Following this great opportunity, I began my first job as a communication and media partnerships officer at the ‘Théâtre de Namur’. Now, my next passion will probably be to discover what’s going on in Napoli. 🙂 “Carpe Diem” - from Dead poet’s society by Peter Weir

Théo

THÉO ALMEIDA (Belgium)

Hello! My name is Théo, I’m 21 years old and I’m from Belgium. I’m currently studying E-business and trying to launch my own production studio called “Frigo Studio” (For thoses ar not frenchy,  that means “Fridge studio”!) anyway. I’m truly passionate about cinema. What I love most is how some films can move us, shake us, or make us dream — no matter how old we are. And what amazes me even more is how we can relate to stories, whether they’re real or not even, fantastical or full-on science fiction. I’m also really curious by nature — about games, travel, and different cultures (formula one too). That’s why being part of a film festival like this, with my ambitions, feels like a real step forward. It’s a chance to learn from your creations — works I may not yet equal, but ones I deeply aspire to match. It’s truly an honor for me to be here, and a real opportunity.   I can’t wait to meet you and discover all your work! The quote that I like is : It’s in action that you find motivation, not the opposite. —— "Hi! I have to be honest… I don't speak a word of Italian… Sorry!"

Anouchka

ANOUCHKA RUMPL (Slovakia / Switzerland)

Hello my name is Anouchka Rumpl, I’m 18 years old. I’m currently finishing my secondary studies at Emile Jacqmain high school in Brussels. I’ve always lived in this city, but my parents come from completely different places. My mother is Slovak and my father is Swiss, so I was very quickly drawn to the many different cultures of the world. Cinema was always something very vivid at home and I plan to pursue film studies, with a focus on camera work, at a cinema school in the near future. Before that, next year, I will do a cultural stay in Cúcuta, Colombia for a year. I’m hoping that I will become fluent in Spanish and that it will be the beginning of a wide range of new experiences for me. "You have to constantly throw yourself off a cliff and equip yourself with wings during the fall."

Sans titre-9

RIDA BOULAGHMAL (Palestine)

I’m Rida Boulaghmal, I’m 19 years old and I come from Paestum. I’m currently studying at L’Orientale University in Naples. Taking part in this Festival, dedicated to the theme of Contact, is a unique opportunity for me to delve deeper into the world of documentary, visual storytelling, and cinema. I believe this festival can offer a rich experience filled with new inspiration, meaningful encounters, and a different space to express my passions. I’m happy to be part of this journey and to grow through dialogue and exchange with the other participants.

Jury Il Camino

Composed of 7 residents from the Il Camino Therapeutic and Rehabilitation Center, the jury will select the best film from the two international short film competitions.

The collaboration between the Faito Doc Festival and Il Camino, active since 2008, has grown richer over the years. The therapists have consistently supported the festival’s cultural initiatives, while the residents participate with great enthusiasm: they present works, contribute to set designs, manage the spaces of the House of Cinema, and take part in dance, writing, and theater workshops, also bringing to life sensory performances.

They have been featured in short films, documentary portraits, and two feature-length films dedicated to their community experience. This year, they also take on the creation and performance of video letters presented at the festival.

Jury Faito Doc Camp

Composed of members of the Amici della Filangieri Association and guests of the campsite—faithful participants in the festival’s daily events, and active promoters of concerts and activities in collaboration with the Festival—this group meets to discuss the short films in competition, expressing a preference for the documentary they loved most that day.
At the end of the festival, the film that receives the highest number of positive reviews will be awarded the Faito Doc Camp Prize.
